Couples Centre Stage
Couples Centre Stage is the public arm, formed in 2006, of the Society of Couple Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists, the professional body of the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships.
Couples Centre Stage aims to form a bridge between the profession and the community. It is hoped that through performance and dialogue such as the staging of “Couples in Counterpoint” at the Linbury Studio, in the Royal Opera House, that greater awareness and understanding of the powerful, unconscious dynamics, which shape couple and marital relationships, and thus children's lives and the stability of family life, will become more accessible to both the general public and to other professional bodies.
